The main issues arose when
* I spent a long time authoring substantial new content (Or Dorje108 did, for Buddhism)
* another editor suddenly deleted it, or nominated it, usually without prior discussion
* and I posted to talk pages to try to get it restored or kept. Note, I never edit war. Just talk.
I am aware I tend to become more verbose when this happens, it’s my academic background kicking in!
My plan is to do minor edits and corrections for six months. After that, to do any major content with collaborators from the start. This would deal with issues of competence, because we would be working together. After completing it together we'd submit it for review as a Good Article again similarly to WikiNews.

I have already worked on an article with another editor here in this way. I provided four of the cites and removed two cites to my own blog added by another editor[https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?diff=820822757][https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?diff=820821461][https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?diff=820825413] and took part in the discussion[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:David_Meade_(author)].
