This is a maintenance category. It is used for maintenance of the Wikipedia project and is not part of the encyclopedia. It contains pages that are not articles, or it groups articles by status rather than subject. Do not include this category in content categories. This is a hidden category. It is not shown on its member pages, unless the corresponding user preference 'Show hidden categories' is set. This is a tracking category. It builds and maintains a list of pages primarily for the sake of the list itself. Pages are added to tracking categories through templates.

Pages in this category should be moved to subcategories where applicable. This category may require frequent maintenance to avoid becoming too large. It should directly contain very few, if any, pages and should mainly contain subcategories.

This category and its subcategories contain pages which have been fully protected in line with the protection policy. Full protection prevents a page from being edited except by administrators. For semi-protected pages, which cannot be edited by anonymous and newly registered users, see Category:Wikipedia semi-protected pages.

To add a page to this category, use {{pp-protected}} or one of the more specific protection templates. This should only be done if the page is indeed protected; adding the template does not in itself protect the page.
