Request reason:

Firstly, apologies for taking up so much of everyone’s time in the past. With guidance from friends, I have been able to learn valuable lessons on Wiki editing. I would now like to re-engage, mainly as a wikignome, with no hard feelings on my side.

As per WP:OTHERWIKIS the deleted content is now in other wikis or blogs

  • Astrobiology [1]
  • Buddhism [2]
  • Tune Smithy [3]
  • Clathrate Gun Hypothesis [4]
  • Morgellons [5]).

For all of these, I accept the consensus decision to delete the material. I now edit it elsewhere.

For Wikignoming, I have a ten year history of this with no issues.

I am also committed to reducing my word count.

Only a couple of points discussed relate to wikignoming:

  • Made a minor mistake in Perigean tides.[6]. However WP:BOLD says "Think about it this way: if you don't find one of your edits being reverted now and then, perhaps you're not being bold enough".

The other minor edit discussed in the debate originated in Black hole [7](1,859 watchers[8] and a Good article[9]) where it was immediately reviewed by WolfmanSF[10]. It is still there[11] as are the other two I mentioned [12][13][14][15].

Note, previously I was the main editor of Planetary protection (69.3% mine, check with WhoColor[16]). However, if unblocked, I will not return because of connection with deleted material[17][18] but edit my copy[19].

I ask to be unblocked to return to error fixing[20] which I did most weeks as volunteer editor for Wikipedia.

I may eventually return to content creation, perhaps microtonal[21]. If so, my plan is to seek collaborators from the start, for encyclopedic tone, WP:RS, WP:NPOV etc. However for now that's for other wikis and Wikinews where I collaborate with other editors for substantive content[22][23].

  • I have never used Wikipedia for WP:PROMO.
  • I used a couple of sentences of a deleted article in a booklet I sold on kindle, but that is permitted as I attributed it correctly.
  • I did not add my own views to Wikipedia, but summarized the cites to the best of my ability.
  • I did add an article on fringe medicine, but I followed the guidelines in WP:FRINGE for such articles as well as the model of another fringe medicine article here in Wikipedia.
  • I did not copy blog posts into Wikipedia, instead I copied deleted material and drafts into my blog, telling the reader that they were deleted.
  • I did use material that I added to Wikipedia in my book under "all rights reserved" however you may not be aware that Wikipedia's content license permits dual licensing, including releasing material here under CC by SA and under "no rights reserved" in my book.
