Category:Redirects from template shortcuts: Difference between revisions

The pages in this category are redirects from template shortcuts, abbreviated or otherwise different forms of their targets. While these shortcuts may be in other namespaces, their targets must be templates. To add a redirect to this category, place {{Rcat shell|{{R from template shortcut}}}} on the second new line after #REDIRECT [[Target page name]]. Alias/shortcuts may also be used; for example: {{Rcat shell}} is a shortcut for {{Redirect category shell}} and may be used interchangeably. For more information, follow the template link. This is a maintenance category. It is used for maintenance of the Wikipedia project and is not part of the encyclopedia. It contains pages that are not articles, or it groups articles by status rather than subject. Do not include this category in content categories. This is a hidden category. It is not shown on its member pages, unless the corresponding user preference 'Show hidden categories' is set. This is a tracking category. It builds and maintains a list of pages primarily for the sake of the list itself. Pages are added to tracking categories through templates.

Note: It is the target that determines whether or not a shortcut is a "template" shortcut. The target must be a template, and the redirect itself may be in any namespace. An example is the T:DYK/Q mainspace (pseudo-namespace) shortcut redirect that targets the {{Did you know/Queue}} template and is therefore a "template shortcut".
